(NewsRadio 570 WKBN) - This is the week for low income youth in Mahoning County to apply for that summer job; some employers pay $10 an hour! It's not as much funding as last year, but Mahoning County Job and Family Services has $878,000 for low-income young people for summer employment. The Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program or TANF starts in May, but potential workers ages 16-to-24 should pull an application off the website now; here's a link to BOTH applications. Bring your applications in to JFS this week. It's at 345 Oakhill at the Oakhill county building: 10am to 2pm at Entrance B. City and county offices are among those hiring.
